The problem
Every server has rules and features its players only find out about by breaking them. Place a turret in a safe zone, place a large box past the entity limit, place a research table when your server has a custom crafting system — the plugin that governs it usually says nothing until it says no.
What EntMessage does
/entmessage opens an editor. Pick an entity from a searchable item browser, write the message, save. From then on, any player who places that entity gets your message in chat.
Nothing else to it — which is the point. The message is set where you can see the entity list, not in a JSON file with prefab paths in it.
Features
- In-game editor with a searchable, paged item browser
- Any number of entity-to-message rules
- Multi-select, so one message can cover a group of entities
- Configurable chat prefix, message colour and Steam avatar icon
- Long messages split automatically at a character count you set
- Settings persist across restarts and reloads
- One permission for the whole editor
- Oxide and Carbon
- No dependencies
